This content was designed for a beach lifestyle brand that focuses its business on boys’ trunks. The brand had a clean, simple aesthetic, but its clothing was filled with fun prints and patterns. This balance of brand simplicity and a bright color palette was important for this content.

Branding and photography were substituted for confidentiality purposes.

About the project

I started designing this content by finding a stand-out lifestyle image from Adobe Stock. The original brand logo is adorned with a surfboard, so it felt necessary to have a surfer boy as the subject of the image. Once the beach aesthetic was established, I focused on highlighting the products and their features.

Graphic icons and close-up shots advertise the key details of the product, that may not be clear in full product shots. I always aim to make the most use out of any space with Amazon content, because grabbing the attention of shoppers is tricky. To advertise the versatility of the trunks, I came up with a catchy phrase that shows the shorts can be worn in the water or on land.

“Board shorts that can take you from the beach to the boardwalk”

And finally, once the A+ content was complete, I moved on to infographic alternate images and size charts, which carry through the design elements (imagery and graphics) used in the A+ content. These images are even more crucial because it is what the shopper first sees when they are scrolling through the product images.
