Amazon Design Strategies

When designing content for Amazon, two of the most important features to focus on are Alternate Images and A+ Content. Alternate images are the images that the shopper sees when scrolling through the product photos on the Amazon listing. The owner of the page is allowed to post their own content as long as it is with the Amazon rules and guidelines.

A+ Content appears further down on an Amazon page. This content is much larger than the alternate images and leaves greater opportunity to advertise the brand, product features, and rich imagery. This video shows an alternate image design as well as A+ Content on a live Amazon listing.
